I’m a freelance photographer and tour guide based in Toronto, Canada, with a background as an art director and creative director.
I grew up in the UK, hiking and photographing the fells of the Lake District and North Wales. When I moved to Canada 25 years ago, I fell in love with the panoramic scenes of the Rockies and realized I’m happiest with my camera in hand, half way up a cliff, with the wind whipping around me. When I discovered Iceland (long before everyone else did), I began returning yearly to explore this eerie moon-like setting with the breathtaking waterfalls.
My specialty is Travel and Landscape photography. But living in an urban setting gives me equal appreciation for the contours of a well-architected building, the aesthetic of contemporary design, and the moment of serenity on an old man’s face in a frenetic Cambodian market.
My photographic travels have taken me to Japan, Cambodia, China, Iceland, UK, Mexico, North America and France. I travel so I can photograph – it’s a journey without a final destination.
